We are looking for a responsible Electrical Safety Officer for Berlin/Brandenburg with hands-on experience in the planning and operation of electrical infrastructure for data centers. This includes collaboration in planning, installation, and operations. We support continuous professional development to stay up to date with current technology.

As a responsible Electrical Safety Officer at Amazon, you will collaborate with other internal groups as well as external groups, including manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers.

Amazon is a global company. Occasional travel is required and should account for approximately 10 percent of your activities. International collaboration will be part of the role, so international travel may also be necessary. Support may involve working with international teams and could require the development of circuit diagrams and construction drawings. An understanding of international electrical planning requirements is helpful but not required.

Key job responsibilities
In this key position, you will ensure the legally compliant organization of electrical engineering operations at AWS in the area of operations and maintenance:

• Responsible Electrical Safety Officer for the operation of AWS data centers in Berlin/Brandenburg
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty shifts
• Selection and, where applicable, supervision of suitable workers and supervisory personnel
• Issuance of switching authorizations and work instructions
• Responsible for occupational safety and coordination of workflows (briefings, training, standards-compliant condition of work equipment, etc.)
• Collaboration with construction and commissioning teams to ensure proper inspection and validation of the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems
• Support of operational processes, including fault and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting, and review of operational procedures

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles including switchgear, UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers

• Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal

• This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in data center engineering or operations

• Experience leading change in a multiple site environments
