The Order Manager (OM) is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, execution, and monitoring of customer orders covering both commercial and technical aspects.This role serves as the key interface between Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance and Business and Sales Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of customer orders, including customer-specific configurations and project-based business.The candidate will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and maintaining high-quality order processing workflows in an international environment.

Scope and Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process for commercial and technical customer orders in SAP
  • Oversee commercial contract execution (e.g., pricing, payment terms, export compliance)
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the order lifecycle
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management, Finance, Logistics, and Engineering
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, payment tracking, and credit limit monitoring
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Maintain and monitor order, project, and revenue data for reporting and forecasting
  • Validate technical order data (configuration, BOM, engineering alignment)
  • Ensure high data quality and consistency in SAP systems
  • Handle escalations related to order processing issues
  • Communicate order status and risks to stakeholders regularly
  • Support complex projects in collaboration with Technical Order Managers

Job Requirements

  • Experience in order management, O2C processes, or project execution in an international environment
  • Strong understanding of commercial and technical order workflows
  • Hands-on SAP experience (PS, SD, FI/CO, MM) and financial processes (contracts, invoicing)
  • Ability to manage complex orders or project-based business
  • Technical understanding or experience working with engineering teams is a plus
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant degree (Business, Engineering, Supply Chain)
  • Fluent in English and German
