Biomedical Engineer

The Occlutech R&D department stands for fast and creative development of new cardiac implant devices that enable physicians all over the world to save human lives every day.

Primary responsibilities include execution (and managing) of engineering related tasks during product development from concept to launch. This will include working together closely with Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality and Clinical Affairs colleagues locally and at the Company's international sites in Turkey and Sweden.

Your work will focus on

• Development of novel devices, accessories and other specialized cardiac implant products in close collaboration with physicians and external partners
• Preparation of test protocols, reports, budgets and presentations as required
• Manage testings performed by third parties.
• Performing design verification/validation studies, bench testing and technical documentation according to international medical device guidelines and regulations
• Support of technical aspects during the preparation of CE mark and international registration documentations

We are looking for a candidate, who

• holds a degree, Bachelor, Master or Diploma in an engineering field, preferably in biomedical engineering
• has experience in an engineering department of a manufacturing company in a regulated environment, preferably R&D in a medical device company in the area of cardiology
• is experienced in the whole development process for medical devices, starting with an idea, creating requirements, V&V tests, up to providing relevant documentation for the submission to the notified body

• fluent in written and spoken English (level B2.2)
